Hurtigruten Nordic Film Festival
The 2026 Hurtigruten Nordic Film Festival offers a selection of compelling films from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Highlights include the powerful Icelandic drama ÁRRU, which explores the impact of a mining project on a Sámi reindeer-herding family, and FJORD, the Palme d'Or-winning film featuring a conservative couple navigating cultural tensions in Norway. The festival also screens BUTTERFLY, a gripping drama about estranged sisters reuniting after their mother's mysterious death, and THE LOVE THAT REMAINS, a poignant family story directed by Hlynur Pálmason. Closing the event is the 60th-anniversary screening of Ingmar Bergman's classic Persona.
